In the last few weeks, the GIGABYTE Z77X-UP7 motherboard has started collecting accolades of the highest order. It’s been  Editors Choice and it’s been awarded Gold. Today however, it has arguably gone one step further, claiming the highly sought after and prestigious Diamond award from UK reviewers at HardwareHeaven.

Reviewer Stuart Davidson took a good hard look at our flagship Z77 board, and basically could not find a place where it skipped a beat. Here’s a sample of what Stu had to say:

“…overclocking was also impressive on the UP7 allowing us to exceed our previous maximum overclock for our i7-3770K on liquid cooling. Dual GPU scaling also worked well and the various voltage read points and onboard switches/buttons will make life easier for the enthusiast.

A class leading Z77 board from Gigabyte which offers a great level of performance in all areas backed by impressive build quality and features. One of only a handful of products to win our Diamond Award.”

GIGABYTE X79 UD3 claims Tom’s Hardware APPROVED Award

The great granddaddy of all PC hardware sites, Tom’s Hardware, has just published an article comparing seven X79 boards in the $260-320 price segment, including very own X79-UD3 board. Reviewer Thomas Soderstrom puts all seven boards through their paces comparing overall performance, features sets, overclocking prowess and value for money. We’re absolutely delighted to see that our X79-UD3 has been selected for Tom’s prestigious Approved Award.

“The least-expensive of today’s contenders, the X79-UD3 still includes a standard set of mid-market enthusiast features, such as front- and rear-panel USB 3.0, eSATA, and two additional SATA 6Gb/s ports via a third-party controller. Gigabyte goes one step further, though, by endowing this product with four-way SLI support, rather than the three-way capability wed expect to find on a more affordable platform”

Available on New Egg for around $270, Tom’s Hardware is clearly very impressed with the wealth of high-end features on this board combined with a very competitive price point.
